John Morgan: Tragedy, Hustle, and the Billionaire Work Ethic
Discover the defining personal tragedy that forged John Morgan's legal career and the core entrepreneurial trait—an inherent, untaught hustle—present in history's most successful billionaires.
Short Summary
- John Morgan’s path to personal injury law was directly motivated by his brother's severe accident at Disney World while they were poor.
- Top performers, especially billionaires, often share an early, inherent drive—evidenced by being childhood paper carriers or hustlers.
- This foundational 'hunger' or entrepreneurial bent cannot be taught; it originates from handling early helplessness or necessity.
This discussion reveals how extreme childhood experiences can catalyze massive professional success by instilling an unteachable drive necessary for top-tier performance.

My dad....worked his butt off, all his life. Not sure if he had a paper route but I do know he drove a bakery truck at about 12. His goal was to own a Cadillac. At one point had 2. Born in the early 30s middle child in s family of 5. Pops ran the printing press for the newspaper.
It started out when I was a sperm cell. I was blasted out of my father’s canon. I was the fastest swimmer. And that’s why I’m a winner today.
I was a paper gal, but I am not a Billionaire..I tell my hubby to get to work though..lol
I was a paper boy when I was 12-13, early 90s .Im not a billionaire but I haven't stopped working since. One thing is true as the gentleman mentioned, the paper must be delivered if it rains, snows, windy or hot. Taught me work ethic and how to be professional, because I had to charge the customer myself. Haven't giving up on being in a better place financially but thanks be to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that ive always had a roof over my head and food on my table but over all, good health. Thanks be to God.
I was a newspaper girl!!! 👏🏻🇺🇸🤗
Good morning!! Make it the best day ever!!
"Life is like the paper Boy" my brother Michael was a paper boy!! Wow😮
5:00 I used to deliver papers when I was little.. that makes sense. I've always wondered why others seemed to be a little bit more lazy
What a Great show. One of my favorites for sure!
Wow..he's story is a story of love. His love for his brother seem to be the root of his success.
