I dont believe that FORD guy about master mechcanic because the average US salary for master mechanic is 45 to 60k per year. THEY WANT CHEAP LABOR AND THEY ARE LIEING SO WE DONT GET UPSET THEY ARE TRYING TO GET CHEAP LABOR FROM ABROAD !
120k a year jobs that require 10 years of experience with a technology that came out 5 years ago so they can say that there are no qualified candidates and hire Indians for 50k a year

I was a Mechanic for Ford, what I was promised in pay vs what you actually get is mind blowing. It's hard to keep people around when you promise them a good salary then deliver the hard truth that that pay wont come until you get moved into a curtain position within the company and only if the guy ahead of you is willing to step down...

Flat Rate pay meaning if there are no customers in bay, you aren’t getting paid. You get half the pay for warranty work. You have to buy all of your own tools. That man was leaving out the real reasons why there is a mechanic shortage.
The problem is that companies don't want to train workersfrom the ground up anymore.
