Absolutely, as a working scientist, I use Chat's ability to find references in no time, something that would normally take hours. If I need to perform some new procedure, it will do the calculations, showing step-by-step how it arrives at the answer.

Claude Code is insane and i don't think most devs realize how insanely productive and useful it is right now. Programming in 2025 hits different: ideas that would have taken me months are now just a day of prompts. As a solo indie dev i am now a project manager and code reviewer instead of a code monkey! Now, you still have to guide the AI, left to it's own devices it will make horrible architectural decisions and ruin your codebase, but good god if you get the workflow and iteration right it it is just pure magic. Software developers are living in an entirely different world than we were 2 years ago. Who knows what coding will look like in 2030...

"All the building blocks are there" It is something I always thing about regarding science and technology. Of course it requires work to get all the pieces together, but the pieces are there. The path is clear. And we are moving steadily towards it. I truly share this vision, and I have for a long time. I am glad to live in the timeline to experience this, if maybe only a part of it.
