Brown dwarfs are known to photobomb. It's theorized that this behavior is the result of resentment stemming from their failure to become stars.
"how could they get this wrong" To be fair it's like 20 pixels
The long-ish wait is basically the difference between how science is done - working towards conclusions vs. how news and YT channels are set up to deliver information - headlines first. Keep up the good work, Anton.
I've been waiting for this shoe to drop ever since these apparently distant galaxies were detected.
Anton - thank you for your dedication. Speaking for myself and likely 1.6 million others, our knowledge and lives are so much richer and wiser thanks to you.
Im so happy to see you at 1.6 mil subscribers. I remember when i joined it was 30,000-something. You definitely deserve it.
Ah Cuckoo stars, who evolved to emulate the look of a galaxy because it was more energy efficient than actually becoming a galaxy themselves.
First the bite of 87, now the redshift of 32
It's disappointing that they turned out to be something "mundane" (relative to what they first thought it was) as brown dwarfs. But at the same time, it's really cool they're able to detect very distant brown dwarfs. :)
Thanks, Anton. You are a real person. I refuse to watch the numerous AI physics videos flooding YT.
