This is directly related to my own work. I definitely would not describe it as a crystal. I think a mesh is a better description. But the mesh can store torsion... So it is capable of being ordered... But that ordering is explicitly forbidden on a large scale (Large lyapunov exponents). So calling it a lattice is a bit like calling glass a crystal... Edit: Holy shit! Anton referenced my math! 😮 Awesome! Second edit: the space crystal structure only shows up in extremely energetic environments. These crystals don't normally exist in asymptotically flat space. Third edit: working to publish my own paper on the subject. Key words to watch for will be CIF, Critical Information Foam, Panagis. Panagis is a theorist that wrote an amazing paper about admissibility conditions that sped my own work up. Highly recommend reading his work.
Time crystalizes for me everytime I go to work.
Do NOT smoke the space-time crystals!!
You are an excellent educator.
4:12 I love you naming and showing the scientists involved. In society, everybody is supposed to "know" random athletes, actors and rich people but in the other hand it's always just "scientists discover X" in the media.
Ahhh man. You just shorted my brain cells.
Thank you, Anton, for exploring these studies. I don't have the math to truly understand it, but your explanations are wonderful and light fires in my brain.
anton..make a video of the behind the scenes of how you manage to put together sych a thourough and professional educational video so constantly and consistantly! im sure there must be many helpers including ai and google search of course.. but also human editors, video gathering , script writing etc etc.. the fact you do this daily is almost greater than any new discovery that gets uncovered about the universe or nature !! haha.. would love to see a video of showing how its done!
Star Trek says yes as demonstrated by Capt. Pike on the Klingon world Boreth where he's given a time crystal by a Klingon monk. Big implications though!
Time crystallizes every time my favorite hockey team is on the penalty kill
