Cody has a set of balls for competing in that match with a serious injury.
The night my respect for Cody went through the roof. The gruesome visual of that torn pec, the silence from Illinois after he took his jacket off to show it, and him putting on an instant classic while sporting that injury, the dedication, all of it. He truly is a nightmare in all the best ways.
This will definitely go down as one of the most legendary matches of all time

No matter how many times I've seen this match, I will always be amazed at how Cody worked this match with a torn pec and Seth doing all he can to make sure that Cody didn't hurt himself any further. Both men deserve a lot of respect for what they did inside the cell that night
You just know if they ever do a Showcase for Cody Rhodes in 2K this might be one of hardest matches in that Showcase. 😂

The way Cody masks his injured pectoral right up until he removes his coat is amazing. In hindsight you can see him modify his entrance to account for it but on the night, when you didn't know he was about to pull his jacket off and reveal that huge bruise, it must have been jaw-dropping that he still wanted to go through with the match in spite of it. You can feel the collective gasp of the audience when he shows it for the first time. The chants stopping and the awe setting in...it's crazy.
