11:00 In the book Newt climbed the wall & tried to jump off, which is why he has that limp. Alby & Newt are very close because Newt was the second person to come through the maze.

I'm glad the audience (or those who haven't read the books) get to find out what's going on at the same time as Thomas. Makes this movie feel super stressful, just like how is feeling. But after several re-watches and after reading the books I really really start to feel for Gally and what's probably going on in his head. 28:04 They have been in the Maze for a few years at that point. The glade is something they have known to be safe and they survived the dark days that Alby mentioned earlier when he had Thomas put his name on the wall. If you think about it, Gally is terrified of the unknown because what he DOES know is that the glade means safety and he cares about the guys that are there with him. He doesn't want to see any more guys die and here comes Thomas and suddenly both Ben and Alby get stung. He's also breaking the rules that have held their little society together for a long time and Gally knows the consequences of what that means. Thomas is right they can't just live there forever but I feel that Gally is completely justified in his fear and distrust of Thomas.

Dylan is criminally underrated as an actor. Glad to see him coming back with more mainstream stuff.
