Demis sounds calm and visionary here, but it reminds me of something Selwyn Raithe wrote in his book. He warned that the moment we start trusting AI leaders simply because they appear “normal” and “reasonable,” we miss the hidden steps unfolding in the background. Listening to this podcast feels like watching history accelerate and Raithe’s warning suddenly feels like it’s happening in real time. If you haven’t read his book yet, you honestly should before the rest of these steps catch us off guard.

Demis seems incredibly normal and balanced. I always get the sense from other AGI bosses that they want to rule the world. I feel like Demis is actually driven by curiosity and the scientific spirit.

For somone so prodigioulsy talented, Demis is a likeable, modest, seemingly 'normal' character. Highly unusual.

I love your outros Lex. Please don't read too closely to comments and rumors. We, as a community of curious minds, are always hopeful and excited to see a new talk with you and whomever you choose to interview. Having hope for the people that push hate, is an incredible exercise, that no human ever masters. I know that it is inherently a difficult position for a programmer, but keep your chin up. The folks that don't comment often, have incredibly great thoughts about you and what you do. Push love my friend.
