Back in the late 90s, there was a huge influx of South American immigrants into my area, and at the time I was making pizza and getting paid $14hr. Within a few years I couldn't find any type of pizza making job that wanted to pay me more than $10 hrs. That happening was motivation for me to get into construction only for me to watch the same thing happen to those trades in the mid 2000s so you could imagine how frustrating it is to hear people say they do jobs American don't want to do. When I was 13, I shoveled horse shit on a farm after school and loved that job, and the only reason I was given that job at 13 was because it was hard to screw up. I challenge anyone to find a job opportunity like that today

I worked in construction many years and supported my family. My wife didn't have to work and was able to be a stay at home mom. Big builders started using illegal aliens the smaller builders had to also to compete and us subcontractors were forced out. The home prices never went down so who actually benefited?
