I'm 59 and my entire life the GOP have been the Party of Fiscal Responsibility only as long as the Democrats are in charge.

Federal employee here. The damage done by DOGE continues after its sunset and Russel Vought continues to bleed us. We're seeing an unprecedented expulsion of competent government administrators and scientists fleeing from the public sector.
Government spending is only a crisis if it is for social programs.
We can't spend $96 million a day* to save lives, but we will gladly spend $2 billion a day to take lives. I think that really shows our priorities. *$96 million /day based on USAID 2024 annual budget of $35 billion annually.
