The episode begins with Jedi Masters Indara, Kelnacca, Sol, and Padawan Torbin arriving on Brendok in search of a mysterious "vergence," a powerful nexus of the Force. Initially, the Jedi are uncertain about the vergence's nature, but their mission takes a turn when Sol discovers two young girls, Osha and Mae, who are connected to the vergence. The episode reveals that the Jedi were sent to Brendok after a hyperspace disaster 100 years earlier, which left the planet barren. As the Jedi observe the girls and their connection to the Force, they discover that the twins were not born but created from the vergence.
