So basically, master Sol was too rash, mother Koril was too belligerent, Mae was childish, Wookie is just too strong, and last but not least mother Aniseya lacked communication skills, IF ONLY she clarified why she was turning into a giant ghost crow beforehand!
Mae misquotes Mother Aniseya when se talks about sacrifice with the Jedi, the actual quote was "Ascension is about walking through fear, is about sacrificing a part of yourself" not "Everyone must walk through fear, everybody must be sacrificed to fulfill their destiny" this is one of many misunderstood elements the makes Sol jump to the rushed conclusion that the coven is evil. Most of his actions in this episode are dictated by fear and a misguided belief that he needs to protect these children from something he doesn't even try to understand.
"No, he's explaining the 16 years". "Oh, but through the form of a flashback". I must admit that I was hoping for him to explain the 16 years in the form of interpretive dance.
Why did Sol force lift the bridges instead of just the two 45 lb kids?
Torbin's lightsaber move was impressive. It looked like Anakin's style while he was repelling the arrows.
occurred to me during this rewatch that Sol's motivation in letting Mae fall was to get rid of the only witness that could tell the council how he murdered her mother. None of this had to transpire had the Jedi just collected their moss and minded their business. Going back to when Mae confronted Torbin, her first ultimatum was that Tobin go confess to the council the Jedi's part they played in it, but he chose to drink poison rather than admit they over stepped. As for the comments on Mae acting childish, well she was 8 years old, so a child being childish is what she was supposed to be. All the questions asked concerning her culture, how they were fathered etc was NONE of the Jedi's business! By their own rules the twins were too old to join the order, yet Sol continued to push. The witches submitted to their demands to test the girls. They saw the girls were willing to fail the test on purpose to remain with their family. But none of that mattered. It's the unmitigated gall on the Jedi's part that got me. Then to cover it all up, they let Mae become the scapegoat. Periodt. When Osha finds out it was Sol who killed her mama, she is going full on dark!

Indara "unplugged" the witches from the wookie. Matrix reference 🤔
