None of these SUVs will last if you do not do maintenance. They are not just inherently reliable if one does not take care of them. Reliable? Sure. Only if the owner takes care of them!

Most reports I've read say the Highlander, if properly maintained, can last over 300k miles or more.

Earlier this year, we bought a grand highlander. 2.4 turbo ........for a 4,000lb vehicle. Im curious to see how this thing holds up to the Toyota name.

The rav4 mentioned is the 5th not 4th generation and it has an 8 speed automatic transmission not 6th speed like the previous 4th gen.
