As a former Netflix CS employee I can help set Jeremy straight (a challenge to be sure) •The number one reason Netflix has been against switching to weekly is the insane customer feedback. Everytime this was rumored to be happening, there would be a massive surge in calls from angry customers threatening to quit. •Even Netflix employees know weekly is financially smarter. We had conversations all the time, especially as other apps started emerging, about how there would be a need to change. •Weekly allows for more profit with less content. You can spread out your shows while staying culturally present Overall, it’s a net positive. Something that’s being prove as Netflix keeps cutting their seasons into Acts
Jeremy losing an argument then changing the goal post , nothing new 😂
- - - In Memoriam - - - Terrance "Az" Von Hildembottom April 2012-March 2026 Watched too much Starfleet Academy
"If the binge model doesn't work, why do companies do it?" I like how Jeremy's argument rests on the idea that Hollywood is rational, as if the past 15 years didn't happen.
I could listen to Ryan tear Jeremy's non-arguments to shreds like ASMR
Another shitty thing about the binge model is that 2 days after a show is binge released, people will be inevitably spoiling every single episode on social media already
Someone tell Jeremy that a loud voice does not equate to a good argument
Poor Jeremy. He'll never lear.
Jeremy is one of those guys who will NEVER concede ground in an argument to the point where you just say, “Hey, maybe you’re right” just so you can move on and talk about something else.
James Gunn is practicing the George Costanza doctrine - if they can't find him, they won't be able to fire him.
