During her confirmation hearing to become Director of National Intelligence in the Trump administration, former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard was asked repeatedly by Democratic Senators whether she considers Edward Snowden a traitor and if she stands by her previous assessment of him as “brave.” Not that they gave her much of a chance to answer since they mainly were using the opportunity to grandstand and gush over the wonders of the intelligence community.
