Common misconception about Thanksgiving: “it was a day where the Pilgrims celebrated with and thanked Native Americans.” No, they invited the Native Americans and celebrated with them, but they were giving thanks to God.

I came from Indian People. I love Thanksgiving. From what I was told, my grandfather did too. He died when I was a baby. He was pure Indian. Native American police officer.

Slavery did not end on Juneteenth in 1865. It actually ended in 1866 when the Federal Government forced the Chickasaw in Oklahoma to free their slaves. Many of the Chickasaw and Cherokee in OK. supported the Confederacy.
