Mass Vehicle Surveillance Is WORSE THAN YOU THINK!

Quietly, and with little public discussion, the Flock Safety automated license plate reader (ALPR) camera network has become a widespread mass surveillance system that tracks every vehicle's location, make, model, dents, roof racks, and bumper stickers—storing data for up to 30 days with no warrant required. Guest host Misty Winston highlights how security researchers found critical vulnerabilities allowing anyone to access live and archived footage without a password , and that police across the country have used Flock cameras to search for women who self-managed abortions and to aid ICE immigration enforcement. Winston notes that at least eight cities have shut down their Flock programs due to FOIA requests revealing abuse, and she encourages viewers to use public records requests to force transparency in their own communities.
