Unlike Loki and Wandvision, moonknight started from scratch essentially (i.e. no prior character development) think it was a really great intro to the character, Oscar Isaac and May were stand outs
What I love the most is that the post credit scene leaves the door open for another season but at the same time ends things really well
A very interesting detail is that now Marc and Steven no longer have that transition effect when they pass their bodies between them, as a sign that they are now in sync.
It’s so cool how the final wake up scene at the end perfectly mirrors the wake up scene from Episode 1 but this time it’s Marc who wakes up first instead of Steven in the first episode showing that now with Jake Lockley in the picture, Marc is just as much in the dark as Steven once was… awesome show
I loved how Marvel are telling their stories in a unique way. From Wanda Vision to Moon Knight, they reimagine how storytelling can be translated from comic book to tv. Love it
I liked that Konshu told Marc/Steven that he would release the 2 of them knowing damn well he still had Jake. So.. He didn't lie but still got what he wanted, a truly brutal Moon Knight. I'm hoping for another season. Great show!
This series I feel succeeded at depicting what makes MoonKnight so interesting and different. I feel if it was way more superheroing people would just have the Batman comparison again. Seeing the fractured workings of Mark's mind is what then makes the hero MoonKnight interesting. I so hope this gets a follow-up. If Marvel is setting up a Marvel knights, I think this MoonKnight would definitely fit working alongside say GhostRider.
Huge props to the actor for his outstanding performance. Honestly, he does three different accents and three different personalities within a single character. Also the half control over the body in episode 1 was great. Marvel really hired the perfect moon knight.
I’d like to see Scarlet Scarab in the Midnight Suns too. There’s no way she gave up that power because Taweret isn’t a manipulator like Khonshu.
