Greg Alba & Roxy Striar react to Interview with the Vampire Season 1, Episode 1 — “In Throes of Increasing Wonder”, the haunting premiere of AMC’s bold reimagining of Anne Rice’s iconic gothic vampire saga. This opening episode reframes the classic story through a modern lens, blending lush atmosphere, psychological intimacy, and moral horror. The series begins in present-day Dubai, where journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian – Talk Radio, Succession) resumes his decades-later interview with the elegant yet deeply haunted vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson – Game of Thrones, Broadchurch). Louis recounts his human life in early 20th-century New Orleans, exploring themes of race, desire, faith, and isolation before his fateful encounter with the mesmerizing and terrifying Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid – The Newsreader, Lambs of God). Their first meeting, charged with seduction and menace, leads to one of the episode’s most talked-about moments: Lestat’s predatory courtship and the brutal, transformative act that binds Louis to immortality. Highly searched and standout moments from the premiere include Louis’s emotional confessions during the interview, the opulent New Orleans nightlife sequences, Lestat’s chilling introduction and philosophy on vampirism, and the shocking violence that seals Louis’s fate. With its rich production design, daring reinterpretation, and magnetic performances, “In Throes of Increasing Wonder” establishes Interview with the Vampire as a bold, sensual, and tragic reinvention of Anne Rice’s legendary world. #InterviewWithTheVampire #InterviewWithAVampire #Lestat #AMC #Vampire #Romance #Queer #lgbt #lgbtq #IWTV #AnneRice #VampireSeries #AMCSeries #LouisDePointeDuLac #LestatDeLioncourt #GothicHorror #DarkFantasy #TVReaction #TVReview #Binge #Bingeworthy Sinners (2025) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/cu1bcprLdYY Heated Rivalry Episodes 1 & 2 Reaction: https://youtu.be/I-sdN9Udozk Twilight (2008) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/3JbQk1-O9rQ Bridgerton Season 1, Ep 1 & 2 Reaction: https://youtu.be/Wi8kpk9bLWc Abigail (2024) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/sd8dY1DVr_M 0:00 - Checking In! 1:34 - Interview with the Vampire 1x1 Reaction 37:20 - HUEL 39:05 - Interview with the Vampire Review Follow *Roxy Striar* https://www.instagram.com/roxystriar/?hl=en https://twitter.com/roxystriar Follow Greg Alba: https://www.instagram.com/thegregalba/ https://twitter.com/thegregalba Intense Suspense by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ RR Clips & Shorts Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ReelRejectsClips Follow TheReelRejects On The Socials: IG: https://www.instagram.com/reelrejects/ TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@thereelrejects?lang=en TWITTER: https://twitter.com/thereelrejects FB: https://www.facebook.com/TheReelRejects/ Music Used In Ad: Hat the Jazz by Twin Musicom is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Happy Alley by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Head Editor: https://www.instagram.com/praperhq/?hl=en Supervising Producer: https://twitter.com/nerdchronic?lang=en Co-Editor: Greg Alba Co-Editor: John Humphrey Music In Video: Airport Lounge - Disco Ultralounge by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Follow & Listen to Us Wherever You Get Your Podcasts!! - Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3XHMwbveiznxSOGxN9XT0M - Google Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5tZWdhcGhvbmUuZm0vc3Rhci13YXJzLXRhbGs - Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-reel-rejects-tv-movie-recaps/id1616339990 - Audible: https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Apocalypse-Podcast/B08JJP58FG Ask Us A QUESTION On CAMEO: https://www.cameo.com/thereelrejects Follow GREG On INSTAGRAM & TWITTER: INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/thegregalba/ TWITTER: https://twitter.com/thegregalba PLAYLISTS: Trailer Reactions & Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw9ZsLdoAQFpx38s2hhyFgDe Movie Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw-comtadVs8b9JsZEWHUyr8 Sketches & Short Films: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw_zWuTRfBOUP3aYyIYRzc2y

During slavery African Americans were not allowed to formerly get married so they used to jump over a broom as a symbol of their commitment to eachother. It's a tradition that some people still uphold today.

You are entering PEAK TV AND WRITING/ACTING. This show is criminally underrated. Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid are a revelation in this and it’s a damn shame the Emmy’s have ignored this series when it’s consistently praised by fans and critics.

48:36 he likes lily but if i remember correctly she says louis and her just like to talk. During their threesome you kinda get the vibe that lily is guessing he is gay and she encourages him to be comfortable with lestat says its okay etc. It is also insinuated that louis sees lily to keep up appearences and doesnt see any other woman bc lily just lets him be and doesnt pressure him and is okay with just talking.

49:02 I will say! Louis is 100% gay, he mentions it multiple times and when Lilly is brought to the apartment she mentions that all He and Lilly do is talk. So it’s the first time he’s ever been with her in any sexual capacity, he goes to see her in order to continue the hyper masculine facade, it’s why Lestat kills her, she’s another thing Louis uses to pretend to be something he’s not
