The Administration is claiming the US does not need or use oil that comes through the Strait of Hormuz. I agree, we should be pumping more domestically, bringing it in from Venezuela and Alberta. Americans need to get off the world oil market if we don't need them, our prices shouldn't be this high.

I live in Utah. The reason we’re against the new data center is that the governor and legislature ducked the normal process for implementing large scale development projects. It was unknown to the public till a month ago. But the Utah government has been working on this for the better part of a year. And they want to break ground in a couple months. Why the secrecy? Why force it through proceedings without public input if it’s going to be a benefit to the state? If it is a net positive then they would have presented it as such and wouldn’t be doing it in secret. History tells us these things are usually bad when done without public notice.
