Pod starts at 8:30. For those who dont care about the hats
I love how when it's Adams turn to talk, he repeats everyone's point but takes longer and tries to put in a movie reference or a funny voice.
It’s not just that they are handing the phone to the kids. By leaving them unsupervised with that phone they are effectively leaving them alone, isolated in a room with a thousand or more strangers that are raising them. It’s terrible!
I was that salesperson. Early early in my career 90-96 sales came easy but I wanted to be a pro bowler so I didn't take it seriously. By 96 I realize as good a bowler as I was, I wouldn't make enough money bowling. I didn't appreciate that those years of easy sales were in a new industry and competition was coming in droves. Had I not taken my success for granted, I could have been set for life very young. If you're young, know that putting in extra effort now is the greatest gift to your future self that you can give.
Wow. One time I disagree with Vinny and agree with Adam. We do need jails focused on rehab and reduce recidivism and stop long sentences for no victim crimes (drug use).
There's a big difference in jails and prisons. Jails are short-term sentences, usually on a county level, and for terms of less than one year. Prisons are for more serious long-term sentencing.
2:03:47 wow PBD. What a great point as a man with a family. This is what people need to hear.
I love this podcast. The four of you are such a good mix! Really insightful and great about bouncing things off each other. Love seeing the respectful debate and disagreements!
In 1990, four of us responded to the Marina District/Oakland earthquake offered Union jobs as we got off the plane. Seeing Alcatraz from Ghirardelli pier 39 was a very awesome and imposing sight to see.
I love waiting to watch this until the stream is half way to nearly finished, I get to fast forward Adams points, or lack of, and I dont miss a thing.
