I've done enough of my life. My problem is that everyone wants to solve problems, be more optimized, and more constructive. I just want to stay low and die of boredom on my island, fishing, drinking fresh water, with no need for money or to be accountable to anyone or anything.

This is mindfulness work in the modern era. It's valuable work which translates to better mental health. I have managed my anxiety surrounding AI by shielding myself from the hype and concentrating on my genuine passions. I continue to study and work with low-level coding and electronics, relaxing in the evenings by reading paper books with a tasty cup of tea. If the day ever comes when the skills I’ve built and I am building with so much effort and dedication are no longer in demand, the world will become a place not worth living in, not just for me but for everyone. I'm going to escape to an island with others who are sick of it all to go back to a primitive lifestyle, and frankly, the idea is actually very appealing to me.

I'm a lead platform engineer and my job takes so lot of organization and documentation that I find little time to do programming. I miss programming very much because I enjoyed it so much. There was always a picture of automation at scale and joining many pieces together to make something big from composable chunks of well engineered tools, sometimes also contributing. This was the way. Now I'm working on a project about AI Assistant just for myself and make is super personal but in a way that it can attune to the user. I'm running everything locally. With this approach maybe I'll be able to share it one day with wider community. I find the Telos idea very well fitted into that. The assistant could help redefining and working with the Telos description, also keeping a history of how that changed for insight. I only found your videos just today but already found I few I like that relates to AI and have effect on my project. Thank you!

I think lot of folks are not ready to face the music. Earlier this year, I was forced to confront a lot of the issues in my life and hit my rock bottom. I slowly constructed the digital twin of myself very much in the vein of this project with my locally hosted LLMs. The hardest part was putting in words, admitting to and giving body to some of the more difficult aspects of my life. It was an eyeopening process. I'll give this format a shot too because I want to try out the fabric prompts. Thanks for sharing this Chuck.
