Ending institutionalized cancel culture is the civil rights issue of our time.
Banking is a critical industry, with many, many federal financial safeguards and bailouts. Even if it is a private business, they should not be able to debank a person for any reason.
I believe bank of America got in trouble for this same thing. Gofundme stole money from canadian truckers, but was okay with funding a murderer.
Stripe was one of the first ( RIGHT AFTER PAYPAL ) to NOT refund service charges on refunds... if someone runs a 10K purchase, and cancels the transaction 30 seconds later...... merchant still gets charged the 3.75% or so fees.
We had to appeal to a “credit card payor” that said they would no longer do business with us because we have the word “drugs” in the name of our pharmacy that has been in business since 1953.
One of the owners of Stripe is the new Canadian prime minister Mark Carney.
Stripe just stopped allowing my business to process credit card and debit card payments. It was such an inconvenient and very last-minute thing, and when I called them, they told me they couldn't disclose that information. Like what....!?
Make sure you send this the issue to your state's attorney generals office too.
No financial institutions should be allowed to "debank" someone unless there is evidence proven in court on a conviction of a financial crime directly linked to those financial institutions
They are afraid you will sue them, so sue them. Sounds like the FTC should investigate them as well.
