19M is about the number of registered voters in TX, not sure in eligibility to vote numbers. 30M is overall population. Texas has open primaries, a landside in either doesn't always translate to the general. It's just a thing to keep in mind when trying to figure out WTF Texas is going to in a statewide election. It also has low voter participation and pain in the ass election polices, that Paxton had a long history of exploiting. People writing Talarico off is premature, but the work also needs to keep being pressed to get him into the Senate.
