The conversation connects current Supreme Court rulings to a broader rollback of protections established during the Civil Rights Movement, including Shelby and Citizens United. Clyburn argues that dismantling Black districts will strip Black communities of federal resources, political influence, and representation while empowering states willing to suppress Black voting strength.
