Releasing on September 16th 1994 this is officially the series longest season. This is the season where it went from cult hit to cultural phenomenon and it cant be overstated how important this season was. Clocking in at 25 episodes it aired almost exactly a year to the date of Season 1. And knowing they filmed almost 50 episodes in 2 years and wrote, released and edited them…yeah….you wonder how we got to where we are with 8 episodes every 2 years. But real world issues affected production and Gillian Anderson fell pregnant around the time. So several the of the storylines were changed and it was decided she’d be abducted by aliens.
