Three federal judges ruled that Lindsey Halligan—Trump's handpicked prosecutor with zero prosecutorial experience—was unlawfully appointed as U.S. Attorney. Judge Cameron Currie dismissed her cases against James Comey and Letitia James, ruling all her actions were "unlawful exercises of executive power." Despite this binding ruling, Halligan continues calling herself U.S. Attorney. Trump-appointed Judge David Novak demanded she explain why this doesn't constitute "a false or misleading statement," suggesting potential bar discipline. Halligan's defiant response accused Novak of "gross abuse of power" and claimed "the Court is flat wrong." Brian compares this to losing a case and telling the judge "that's just your opinion" then showing up Monday to proceed anyway. The chaos deepened when veteran prosecutor Robert McBride was fired after refusing to lead the Comey prosecution. McBride, a 64-year-old former Navy lawyer and criminal chief from Kentucky, declined because he didn't believe he could get an indictment. Grand juries have now rejected three attempts to indict Comey. The firing was supported by Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy AG Todd Blanche. Shant notes legitimate cases are being jeopardized—other indictments thrown out because Halligan's name is on them. The DOJ now has nobody prosecuting Comey and keeps firing experienced prosecutors who won't participate in the "circus."
