As someone who spent 15 years battling opioid addiction due to an ATV accident in my early teens that shattered my ankle and broke my fibula and tibia, I have so much hate for any type of opiates now. I was given this highly addictive drug as a child with no warning of what I was getting myself into. Thankfully, I managed to beat it in my late 20s after I watched friends die from this same addiction. If you are taking these drugs and think you have a handle on it, you are already hooked for even having those thoughts. Your ability to hide it from people does not make it alright. Your ability to function and contribute to society does not make it alright. Please, get help and get clean. You don’t need them. There are other safer, healthy alternatives for the pain you’re in.
