I took an elective marketing class, it wasn’t anything super in-depth but the teacher had a discussion on sex appeal marketing and he said something that stuck with me. “Men find hot women attractive, women also find hot women attractive” It’s not some insane radical concept, it wasn’t even an implication of sexuality or anything. Put an attractive woman in underwear on an advert for your underwear and it’ll attract sales for both demographics. What shocks me is that I learned this in a public high school. Yet these college graduates in marketing completely and totally lacked the understanding of this concept, and yes it was activism but it was the stupidity of the marketing firms that let the activism damage their marketing. Someone in management should’ve known what I was taught
