I always find it fascinating people will say taking race into consideration when hiring is not a form of racism. It's considering race. That's racism
Judging people by their actions instead of race. Oh the horror.
If CA voted 57-43 against AA, how do you think the country feels about it 😅
Supreme court ending legal racism! Huge win.
Race should never be a factor for anything that requires individual competency, hard work, and capabilities
Omg. Someone is finally addressing, and exposing the issue.
As an Asian, at our school we were told by our teachers to change our names temporarily so they don't figure out our race on the exams...so i was able to go down to the courts and changed my name to something american and all the kids did that and we all got into our universities...this was one of the loopholes that our asian professor taught us because he remember being denied because of his race.
A friend of mine and his wife are from India. Their son applied to the University of Michigan. The school said, “Your grades are good, but not that good. Your entrance exam was good, but not that good”. They carefully danced around the next point, “Yes, you’re a minority, but not the right minority”. Admittance denied. Then they discovered the young man is deaf in one ear. “Bingo! You’re a DISABLED MINORITY! You’re in”. Nothing else was important. They got to check a box. This is bullshit.
I can't wait to hear how excited John McWhorter is going to be about this. He's been pushing for the end of "the soft bigotry of low expectations" for a while now. EDIT: Just saw that he just posted a video about it on the Glenn Show. Worth a listen to to put Krystal's take into perspective.
