Can you bring on Keanu Reeves!
You cannot sneak across the border if you’re seeking asylum. Contrary to what she said, it DOES matter how and where you arrive in the country. You are supposed to report to a legal port of entry in order to officially apply for asylum.
Deporting people isn’t morally wrong. If you were in any country in the world without a visa etc and you got kicked out you would 100% know you were in the wrong.
Wow what a bummer this interview ended up to be. Glad the comment section sees it too.
Did this woman seriously just say there’s no pathway to citizenship while being an immigrant with citizenship herself?
So... if i break into your house, but i take out the trash and help with the dishes, i can stay? And i can bring my kids?
Came to the comments and was not disappointed .
I don't blame anyone illegally sneaking into another country seeking a better and safer life for their family. I also don't blame said country for deporting people who snuck in.
No mention of the disproportionate amount of military aged men, disproportionate amount of Chinese and Venezualans. HMMMM I wonder why?
If you're in the country illegally, you've been given plenty of notice that you are not welcome to stay. Go home, get your immigration status in order, and apply for legal entry. You don't have to live in fear of being deported. Self deport and do things the right way.
