I’d love to see a “building a home lab for beginners” video! Also I love your content! Keep it up!!!
Wish me luck guys, I’m starting my journey today
Thanks so much for bringing me in on this one, Chuck! 😄
I discovered your channel 1.5 years ago when I knew nothing about IT. Today, I have completed all the phases you guided me through, earned all the certificates, and landed a job. I want to thank you for creating valuable content and inspiring people like me who have a strong passion for the IT field.
🚨 Correction on Offsec & AI Use in the OSCP Exam 🚨 I want to clarify something about the OSCP exam that I misspoke about in this video. OffSec does not allow the use of AI tools (like ChatGPT) during the exam. In fact, using any AI tools or even having AI suggestions enabled on searches will result in an automatic failure. I appreciate those of you who pointed this out—thank you for helping me make sure accurate info gets shared!
Thanks for the shout-out, Chuck! Solid roadmap, I love the focus on the fundamentals before moving on to hacking.
Guys step 0 is 100% true I applied for a support specialist role at a credit union and I met the IT manager there and they took me over people that were way more qualified. I had 0 experience and here I am just hitting my one year!! Keep trying guys I promise you someone will see you!
I’m almost 50. Been welding for 20yrs. My back is giving out, along with my eyes. I have this hunger to learn iT and have been trying to figure out where to start. This! Is exactly what I needed. Thanks, Chuck!
Chuck, I never finished college and spent years doubting myself. As I got closer to my forties, I honestly thought it was too late to start a career in IT. Then I watched your Road to Cybersecurity video and figured I had nothing to lose by trying. To my surprise, even without experience, just with the knowledge I had, people started reaching out and calling me for interviews. A couple of months later, I was working in IT. After watching your video, I finally felt like I could give myself one more chance and now I work in IT while I'm preparing myself on suggestions I get from your video and people at work
Can confirm phase 0. I went from custom blacksmithing and metal work(with some gaming, LAN, and computer basic skills) straight into a field tech job for a major city school system. In under a year I'm now a lead. Y'all can do this, as long as you stay curious and hungry!
