Amazing that the BBC had the two most popular television shows on the planet Doctor Who and Top Gear and ruined both in a few years
Doctor Who is like Star wars’ situation, it’s been dead for a long time but the networks keep shooting the body
It started out as Doctor Who, and it will end up as "Doctor... who?"
My husband is so old, he remembers when Dr Who was mostly about exploring history through time travel....
"I don't recognize any other world." Well that sounds awfully inclusive.
It will never cease to amaze me that creators tell their audiences the product isn't made for them then are somehow blindsided when the product fails terribly.
I am already waiting for the unavoidable "It's the audiences fault." article.
The words "Go Away Now" were never more poignant 😢😢
At its most successful, Doctor Who was a fusion of science fiction and gothic horror. In abandoning those eerie, atmospheric roots, it lost the dark magic that once made it timeless.
I remember talking about Classic Doctor Who in the day, back when special effects were crap. The bad effects didn't matter because the story and characters were great.
