I dont care what people say, they ended the trilogy perfectly. The nun scene, the singing scene, the interrogation, George, when Tucker thinks Lee is having sex, all comedy gold.
I actually didn't think much of Carter's reaction to Suu Yung. Immediately before it pretty clear he still sees her as a little girl when he said he wanted to get her a teddy bear. So I just thought it was more like the goofy uncle being shocked his niece was an adult now. Edit: Let's keep it civil yall lol they're allowed to feel how they feel. In the moment, they won't have all the thoughts we will especially with how many movies they watch.
That scene in the dojo was pure comedy gold
Damn. I forgot Hiroyuki Sanada were in this movie. He look so young and majestic back then.
33:18 Yeah, Jackie Chan can sing. In fact, in China, he could sing professionally thanks to his training at the Peking Opera, where he not only learned martial arts and gymnastics but also to sing and dance.
The daughter joke was just him being shocked how old she actually was. It wasn't meant to be sexual. Modern day has made us make something out of nothing.
27:23 Quick trivia: Jackie Chan didn’t grow up in an orphanage but he was basically sold as an indentured servant to the Peking opera when he was 7. His parents were dead broke.
Carter was simply commenting on how much she’s grown, albeit in a crude way lol. I’ve never seen it as anything more than that lol
One of Jackie's big breaks was from falling from a multistory building and continuing the scene. The man is a legend.
