The Argentinians have a long history of being sore losers—and even worse winners—in football. In 2022, they brawled with the Dutch players after winning their match. In 2006, they clashed with Germany after losing the quarter-final. And the 1990 World Cup final against Germany, which Germany won, featured one of the most disgraceful and despicable displays of sportsmanship you could ever imagine from a football team. It is widely known that Argentinians handle both defeat and victory poorly. So, what happened between them and Spain comes as no surprise. And no need to ask the Braziians. They hate them.

When I grew up being a sore loser was a serious thing, I was also taught that a team was only as good as its worst player ,,, this is embarrassing. Especially after weeks of such great games and world pride.

I think the English press is angry because so many of their soccer fans who attended the World Cup in the USA complained that they were misled by their English press to hate America, when in fact the fans had a GREAT time there. So of course, the English press had to attack Trump, since they could not say anything bad about their own fans' American experience.
