“Touch Not My Anointed”: Faith & Fire Surround Roland, Black Star Network’s Fight Against Oppression
Faith, Ancestry, and Unrelenting Resistance Against Historical Oppression
Understand why current political battles require deep historical grounding and unwavering personal commitment, drawing strength from ancestral resilience to overcome systemic threats.
Short Summary
- Mobilize proactively against systemic threats echoing post-Reconstruction suppression tactics.
- Draw profound, immediate strength from proof of survival (ancestral legacy) rather than relying on fleeting comfort.
- Recognize that current fights are extensions of documented historical white supremacist assaults (e.g., Wilmington, Tulsa).
- This segment stresses that fear must be rejected in favor of active engagement for future Black generations.
Roland Martin frames the current political opposition, particularly GOP actions, not as mere politics, but as a continuation of historical attempts to disempower Black citizens. He demands listeners activate the strength inherited from ancestors who survived slavery and fought for civil rights, emphasizing immediate, non-negotiable engagement.

Dick Gregory taught us... "God and fear do not occupy the same space." We are in the middle of a fierce spiritual war. God is on Our side ✨.
Touch not my annointed aand do my prophet no harm!
I felt all of that.. People have to wake up cause the wicked isn't slowing down waiting on us to get rested
It takes the few to lead the many. I appreciate the education and the leadership. It does not fall on deaf ears. 👊🏾See you on the battlefield.
Yes Yes what God has for you it is for you Touch Not No Weapons formed against you shall prosper.
UNITY IS KEY IF ONLY TO FIGHT, ALWAYS!!!!!!
It's in your blood. It's in our DNA.
This line from the movie Menace II Society is the most chilling to me, and I have never forgotten it! "Being a person of African descent in America isn't easy. The hunt is on, and we are the prey." The time to act is now—not tomorrow! What are you going to do, regardless of what others might do? I am proud to be a descendant of my great-great-great-grandfather, who went to vote in Texas in 1870, the first time a so-called freedman was allowed to cast a ballot. He traveled to a polling station in Texas, where they attempted to kill him as he rode his horse. Despite the danger, my grandfather escaped and rode 20 miles to cast his vote.
Brother Roland, you preached a heartfelt sermon today. We cannot progress being fearful. I am 70 years young and live in Las Vegas, NV. When I moved here 41 years ago, it was known as the "Mississippi of the West". Marzette Lewis, myself and a few others formed an organization to stop mandatory busing of all of the black children on the Westside in around 1991. We organized a school boycott and educated the children that participated in black churches. A true story. We eventually got neighborhood schools back. Good Trouble!!🙏🏽
We have to Step Out On Faith. For God has not given us a Spirit of Fear, but of Power and of Love and of a sound Mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
