Only thing holding these things back is the fact they are tied to Meta. They are so close.
This is incredible! Now Meta can get data on everything in your entire house and then directly serve you ads for paper towels when they see you are out.
I would've been so excited about this 15 years ago. Now it seems dystopian as hell.
As a member of the deaf community I would've never thought there would be a time where I can have in real life captions for conversations. Spent 28 years reading lips and hitting folks with the "yeah thats crazy"
The accessibility it will bring for deaf people is incredible. And I'm really hyped for a new generation of wearables that will come in the next years.
This will be a hit for the ASL community for the subtitles.
