Donald Trump lost a $450 million judgment in a New York civil case presided over by Judge Arthur Engoron and brought by NY state Attorney General Letitia James over the former President’s allegedly fraudulent business practices. Trump has appealed the case to the appellate court and recent deliberations suggest the higher court’s judges find the case to have been brought with little merit and that it is unprecedented in ways that make the judges uncomfortable.
