Absolutely. If you don’t believe in a Homeless Industrial Complex you’re fooling yourself.
$24 billion wasted and nobody went to jail
when they get $24m to solve the problem, I'm sure handing out thousands is just the cost of stealing the rest
The state is not your friend.
When empathy is weaponized against you, it's always a grift
You know we’re in hell-world when it’s against the law to feed the poor.
I don't think 200 in food stamps and just under $700 is enough to "pay rent" in San Fran.
People focus on the 24 billion that evaporated in CA. They forget that SF spends about 1.3 billion per year on homelessness just by itself. I may have the numbers backwards here, but its 700 million in direct assistance and another 600 million for SF General Hospital that serves the homeless... I don't know what it does for the homeless, but sure seems to pay for a lot of range rovers and kitchen re-models for the people who run the NGOs that provide homeless services.
