The best advice that rarely gets mentioned in these conversations is to learn a domain other than software engineering and how software solutions can be applied to it.
the biggest thing that helped me to land a job was using obsidian
I started as a highschool student 2 years ago watching theo to a software engineer and a codex ambassador now. The answer is build stuff and find pain. If it hurts, u r learning. Find the craziest most difficult stuff to build and try to build it.
Theo not being pissed at random stuff can bring out the most refreshing personality you'd want to listen to for hours
Been a while since last advice vid
One more thing I wanted to add is learn to talk. 50% of the work in corporate is just talking and knowing how to talk. Sadly i don't have that skill and realizing it now so changing my direction.
"I'd rather explain memory leaks to my mother" is now my favorite phrase
