Following on your comment about the costumes being unforgiving... I went to a con in the mid 90s that Bruce Boxleitner was at. It was during his Babylon 5 tenure. He was the first one out on stage and got a huge ovation. Fans were calling out his roles and when someone yelled TRON! Bruce patted his stomach and said "Yeah, I can't fit into that outfit anymore!"

Fun fact: The technology used in the 1982 film Tron directly inspired Pixar co-founder John Lasseter and was instrumental in the creation of Toy Story. He worked as an animator at Disney during Tron's production for the Lightcycle sequence at that time. While Lasseter did try and pitch an all-CGI film at Disney but got fired soon after, his idea led him to join Lucasfilm and later become a founding member of Pixar. Without Tron, we wouldn't have such an amazing iconic Pixar films such as Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, etc.

A classic Disney Sci Fi Action Adventure film that deserves more recognition. It was snubbed at the Oscars for Best Visual Effects as the Academy thought that using CGI was considered cheating as some Sci Fi movies, including THE BLACK HOLE, ALIEN, STAR WARS, and STAR TREK, used in camera VFX.

Fun fact: Bruce Boxleitner (Alan/TRON) played Commander John Sheridan on the awesome show "Babylon 5". Peter Jurasik (Crom) played Ambassador Londo Mollari. David Warner (Dillinger/Sark and the voice of MCP) was a guest star as the Grail-seeker Aldous Gajic.

The Lightcycle chase blew my mind as a kid. I loved this film!!

I met the TRON costars CINDY MORGAN, who sadly passed away recently, 20 years ago at a gaming even called MAGFEST(Music A Gaming Fest). She gave me a business card and I've had it in every wallet ever since, TO THIS DAY. Two weeks ago, I was at an event called RETROCON in PA, and TRON actor aka Bruce Boxlightner was a main guest. I finally got a chance to speak with him and told him about meeting his constar and showed him the card I had. He thanked me and we spoke a bit more. It was a such a great experience. Maybe one day I will meet Jeff Bridges, and the circle will be complete.
