Every morning I wake up and for 60 seconds I’m hopeful. Then I turn on the TV and realize Trump didn’t die overnight. I then spend the next 23 hours and 59 minutes pissed off, stressed out and in constant disbelief that 77 million gullible, uneducated, uninformed idiots voted for this narcissistic, sociopathic, evil, incompetent felon. But, I know that when I wake up tomorrow, I’ll be once again be hopeful for 60 seconds. One day the remaining 23 hours and 59 minutes has to go our way.

They want to make us afraid and weak, but we can't let them succeed. Canada stands with you!

We must hold Trump accountable

Here's something heartening that happened in rural Tennessee yesterday: I live here, I can't disguise the fact that I am a Yankee, and I live in a place where maybe 16 people voted against Trump. And I am used to hearing: you ain't from around these parts, are you? But yesterday, when my tire blew out on the highway and I sat on the side of the road for 40 minutes while I waited for my partner to arrive with a lug wrench, I lost track of the number of people who stopped to offer help -- at least 20. And even though I am obviously not part of their culture, all of these strangers took the time to pull over for me and offer their assistance. It helped me to feel better about the Trump-lovers in my community, they are not all haters! I even got a couple of hugs 🙂
