As a nurse, I can say that when relatives identify themselves on the phone, unless prohibited we would give them an update. She did absolutely nothing wrong and it breaks my heart to think that she died like this. I'm disgusted that someone would call a hospital just to prank someone. Anyhow, new fear unlocked. That's such a sad way to go, not even her fault. My uncle started a fire in his shop, then hung himself after a previous failed attempt. He had tied his feet and left notes saying he wanted to be sure he wouldn't be saved in time.

I guess this is a difference in culture, and even similar countries should check things out before poking at each other.
