This was absolutely fascinating. Jesse, you always have interesting guests. I'm an 83 year old woman who is still quite active physically and mentally. We may be going through an anti-intellectual period, but I don't see it around me. A live television program aired in the 90’s called “Mysteries of the Sphinx” featuring Zahi, he takes the viewer under the Sphinx in a tunnel that’s mostly flooded and talks about how they think the tunnels could go all the way to Memphis. Cut to a few years later, they covered all the little entrance holes in the Sphinx and Zahi started telling everyone there were no entrances or tunnels…also he’s corrupt af. ✌️

Planned obsolescence isn't a conspiracy theory. It was an entire topic within my engineering degree, they really hammered home the importance and prevalence of planned device failure. We were told that businesses aren't feasible unless their products have a relatively short and predictable life cycle. It was abhorrent to be honest. We could've easily designed something to last decades, possibly even hundreds of years and yet you have companies measuring their products life cycles in months. What the fuck. If you think Apple, who infamously has been caught intentionally slowing older devices, isn't instituting planned obsolescence? That's pure delusion, not the other way around.
