I’ve never heard an athlete so eloquent, especially in a language that isn’t their native one. Amazing
Is Djokovic the greatest tennis player of all time?
Djokovic is a different level intellectually
Every time I see his interviews, it's always the same conclusion: Novak is an incredible athlete and an even more incredible human being.
I spent three years working at the Novak Djokovic Foundation in Belgrade and had the pleasure of meeting Novak on numerous occasions. It’s not only his kindness, intellectual curiosity or piercing gaze that screams presence when you’re speaking with him, it’s the way people change and try to improve when he enters a room — I always observed them fixing their desks, collars, posture; no matter the age or job seniority. This man has single-handedly altered the perception of the entire nation whose citizens were a priori given negative connotations at the turn of the century. When he won the Olympics last year, I cried like a child. He has blessed my life in so many ways and the fact that our paths crossed briefly is one of the proudest achievements of my life.
It was not his scandal, it was everyone else’s.
Novak Djokovic: The most eloquent speaker in the world of sports, in my opinion. I have listened to hundreds of his statements, whether they be on-court interviews, press conferences, interviews, or podcasts. Every word he speaks is brilliant, insightful, and utterly captivating. The GOAT of every aspect of the sport.
What was incredible about Novak is he achieved everything he did with the crowd/audience nearly always against him. He rarely, if ever, had home advantage. This is a truth that not many people acknowledge that make his achievements even more amazing
Novak’s command of the English language is absolutely way better than some people who speak it as their first language!
not into sports, not into tennis, but during covid started following Novak on instagram, to support, and because he was a beakon of sanity in those insane times. still follow to this day to show appreciation for standing his ground at that time
