Description

Georgia candidate Tori Branum bragged about tipping off ICE—sparking a raid that detained nearly 500 South Koreans and shut down a $7.6B Hyundai EV plant set to bring 8,500 jobs. Instead of “helping locals,” she triggered an international mess and major backlash. Melba Pearson, the Resident Legal Diva, breaks down the drama and what happens next! I hope South Korea cancels the project completely. Other foreign investors should not invest in red states .

As a German/Korean, I have to say - this is an unprecedented level of stupidity on Trump's administration. I worked as a head engineer for a German car production line in Mexico and it's common practice for the parent company to bring skilled specialists to get the plant going to hand over the manufacturing process to the locals. There's also ensuring expertise and QC, maintaining consistency, transfer of knowledge/training while addressing cultural and logistical challenges. I can guarantee you that no car company will just make a decision to let the locals run things from scratch. It just doesn't and will never happen. S. Korea may initially lose some $ to pull out of US, but I think they should. Your country is no longer run on democracy. Hyundai, LG, Kia, Samsung all need to pull out of America and invest in Canada instead.

So Melania gets an Einstein visa, but specialists developing American manufacturing are dangerous?

Not just screwed himself, also screwed American workers who were counting on those jobs.

No foreign company will want to invest in the US now. It's a too high risk for their own people. Good luck expanding the US economy.

MAGA really thinks South Koreans want to leave Seoul and illegally immigrate to the US to live in Georgia of all places? That is absurd.

We Koreans will never forget this treatment, and the US will pay price for it in the very near future.

Korea was paying their salary not the USA. How utterly stupid!

Is the USA refusal to release the Koreans to fly home on the chartered aircraft a sign the USA is now trying to use the Koreans as hostages to negotiate a deal to prevent the Korean companies withdrawing their investment???
