LDL= lousy cholesterol HDL= happy cholesterol… this is the only way I remember which is which. Heard this here somewhere, didn’t think of it.
I have brutally high cholesterol, even when I was super fit. I have metabolic syndrome, apparently, and post menopause. My doc "insisted" I go on statins, and I told her I would rather take my chances of heart attack than ruining my quality of life on a statin. I will handle it naturally through exercise and diet. I am not going to fall down the hill my parents fell down, with a lunchbox full of medications. NFW
Thanks again Dr. B!!! This is something a girlfriend (She is a Doctor) told me about decades ago and every one I shared it with thought she was nuts because the mainstream medical establishment definitely wasn’t saying it. I love how you share these amazing truths about our health. ❤
My cardiologist has been in practice for 50 years- I recently asked him to test for my low density LDL, he just shook his head and said "yes, we're looking at your LDL", referring to my total LDL. These doctors are so intractable. Smh
What might be helpful is to have a list of the foods that cause the bad LDL.
I hate it how doctors will not order the advanced test, before they first test the normal test. Why not just go get the whole picture right away??
I barely found 😢that I have high cholesterol 😢...I walked every day...I love swee bread in the morning 🌄 with my coffee ☕️...I will change my diet ...I refuse to take a whole bunch of meds...😢😢
