Hey Breaking Points family! Max here. Just wanted to second what we say in the pinned comment: please do use the links in the show description if you or someone you know is experiencing bullying at work. Check in on your friends, family, and coworkers. Take care of yourselves and each other. Also, I want to apologize in advance that this segment is a little longer than anticipated. That's entirely on me and I will make sure that future installments of "The Art of Class War" are shorter and more digestible. Thank you so much for welcoming me onto this channel, thank you for watching, and thank you for caring. Solidarity forever ❤️ ✊🏽

Sometimes bullying leads to workplace shootings. Also I've never seen a coworker be bullied into being a more productive worker, it is always the opposite until they quit. Or they hide mistakes that may trigger the bully, leading to low quality products/projects.

According to US labor laws: hostile work environment = making a trivial joke that could be considered offensive not a hostile work environment = manager that breaths down your neck and yells at you and threatens to fire you for not reaching difficult quotas

Max is an awesome addition to your rotation. You are building a formidable block of sincere, honest, righteous minds. Namaste. Loving the contributions by James Li and Matt Stoller as well.

Great job covering this topic Max. This is something not thought about often and needs to be magnified into public conscience.

In my nearly fifty years in the workforce, I have experienced or seen some of the worst kinds of bullying, intimidation, humiliation and disrespect towards workers from higher ups. I’ve consistently found that if you speak out or go to HR, you are considered a problem (not the higher up who is committing the abuse or who is ignoring blatant abuse by one employee towards another).

Brilliant piece for real. We all know someone who was "fired" in the sense that they were made so unhappy they left on their own.
