I spent 15 years in isolation, disguising my weaknesses as strengths. My mind became a lonely cave of isolation. I found honor in it. I thought i was stoic. I couldn't have been more wrong. My strength kept me going. but it also kept me from healing. Ive found that i dont need to suffer to prove to myself that i am strong. Life is only worth living if you live it. Im starting today.
Stop telling people they’re being negative. We live in a country that’s gaslighting its own people to the ninth degree. The lies are constant, the deceit, the protection of p3dos, the robbery of income through taxation, the idea we’ve all been brainwashed into thinking we should be exhausted and used up like cattle, it’s disgusting. None of us should be trying to act like it’s OK in any capacity. Its not negative to point out reality and that is one of the man ways they keep all of this going. Gtfooh
I don't know who said it, "All the water in the sea can't sink a ship unless it gets inside"
He showed just how stoic he really was during COVID when he lost his mind.
Ryan Holiday’s brand is a massive double standard. He preaches self-reliance and rejecting material wealth while running a lucrative marketing machine that sells "Daily Stoic" challenge coins and book sets. This hustle makes sense when you remember his past life as a PR exec who literally wrote the playbook on media manipulation and lies. The hypocrisy peaks with his political takes, like holding up Stacey Abrams as an icon of Stoic discipline despite her being a visibly obese politician who blamed everyone and everything but herself for losing back-to-back elections. He has also had more examples of highly emotional (Pathe) reactions which directly counter stoicism. He’s just a trained marketer using philosophy for commercial convenience.
Youtube ads were out of fucking control on this Sean
I tried being a stoic, and I tend to go all-in on things, which became a real problem. But then I found God, and now I'm in a much better place because I just hand all my worries over to Him.
If i have a negative mind i might pre judge the video to be pointless and miss the message.... fight the dilemma brothers.
How many times can this man say like. I think he must’ve said that word 300 times during this session. For somebody that bright, I’m surprised.
Every time I listen to one of your podcasts, I learn something.
