One of the best episodes of all channels that I have listened to about the future of AI that is intuitive, humorous and interesting about the future whilst comparing it to the past. A new follower of Benedict's work.
Hi Lenny, what software are you using to record this podcast ?
Ha ha.. hit it on the head a timeine 1:06:00 ... Its not a problem with Benedict.. its true.. most answers are not a simple yes or no... "it depends" on variables, constraints, rules, etc. It may be a consultant favorite answer BUT its there for a reason. Unless you qualify the quesition so well that there is no ambiquity, well the answer is going to be "...it depends"... now a good consultant will say "it depends on x,y,z".. and there is where you get your money's worth. This will be the same in this AI age... lots of EXPERTS in AI, on a tech that is only a few years old. Great episode Lenny! "Presume radical uncertainty..." so true..
This was really insightful and rational. Truly enjoyable, resonates a lot with my views but based on research and data. Thanks for putting this together!
Brilliant down to earth wisdom. Loved it.
I had the ICL/ICT equivalent of that IBM calculator (Calculating Punch) in my garden shed in the mid 1960s .. never got it to work 'tho. I did however sell off the hundreds of triode valves/rubes and little relays when I scrapped it so all was not lost!
great podcast Lenny
There is a big difference in comparing this to telecom. There is no application layer needed. Sure the models will be commodity but the memory it retains will be priceless.
Wicked smart! Loved this 🙏
As a non native speaker: this man is really hard to understand.
