As a person whose career is mostly listening to conference calls, the last thing I want to do is log into a conference call to see a presidential announcement They didn't even turn their cameras on. It was like a bland organizational update

The irony of building your whole personality on being the guy who pushed his state to get past the Covid era, and then announcing your presidency on a Zoom-like call that reminds us all of the Covid era.

This was almost as funny as when Elon shattered the "unbreakable" glass on the Telsa truck during the launch on stage.

Every stadium or arena I worked on, they tested the plumbing by having a “superflush” prior to opening (put people in every restroom and repeatedly flush all the toilets) to make sure the system can handle all the s*%t. IT kinda works the same. Test before you launch. The hubris brings ‘em down.
